GARDEN: The New Roses Begin to Bloom

Carol Burnett

Enchanted Evening- a  fragrant floribunda

Gold Medal - an old fashioned rose my parents used to have

Heirloom- the fragrance is superb - and what a happy rosebush.

Royal Amethyst - a vigorous bush also, and wonderful fragrance.

Remember Me

A singular coloration - the bud is deep burnt orange, then opens to orange with rich yellow centered reflexive petals.

The leaves are a deep green and shiny, form is bushy so it looks very handsome on the path,  I detect a light fruity fragrance.

This rose is from a Scottish breeder, Anne G. Cocker, in 1984.  It's also been called Rose D'Amour.

I'm just stunned at how beautiful this rose is.

Won the New Zealand National Rose Trial Ground Winner award in 1987, the James Mason Medal in 1995, and the Belfast Gold Medal in 1995.
